Research Insights

Explore the latest research, inquiry and practice development from across OFG Education. Here, we share how colleagues work alongside students, families, education and clinical teams, academic partners and sector experts to explore meaningful questions, evaluate impact and improve practice.

From practitioner inquiry projects and publications to conference presentations and wider research activity, these insights showcase how we are finding the right tools for every student and sharing what we learn along the way. By sharing our work, we aim to celebrate the expertise within our schools, contribute to the wider evidence base and support continued improvement for young people

Inquiry Projects

Our Reflective Inquiry Projects support schools to investigate important questions arising from their own practice. Developed in collaboration with Professor Barry Carpenter, the programme brings education and clinical colleagues together to explore barriers to learning, trial and refine approaches, evaluate impact and share what they learn.

Each project is grounded in the experiences and needs students. Schools draw on different sources of evidence, including student, parent and carer, and staff voice, alongside observations and school information. The aim is not simply to complete a research project, but to turn learning into meaningful and sustainable changes in practice.
